La Estrella, 2015, MDF
La Estrella is a replication of a table in the gentrifying neighborhood of Highland Park. The original has over 40 years of carvings on its surface. This communal drawing was etched onto the surface of the sculpture. The entire table, including the gum stuck underneath, is rendered in nude MDF.
