In a tunnel on Interstate 110 North, as it passes under Interstate 5, there is a very narrow sidewalk. When pedestrians walk on it they rub their shoulders and hips against the tunnel wall, removing the soot. This work transcribes those marks directly onto the gallery walls. In 1-to-1 scale, where the tunnel-soot was rubbed off, the chalk was added.
